2 onions, sliced thinly
5 tablespoons butter
1 quart water
˝ teaspoon kitchen bouquet
2 chicken bouillon cubes
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 slices Italian bread
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Preparation:
Sauté the onions in the 3 tablespoons of the butter, over a medium heat, until they are soft.

Simmer the soup for 20 minutes.
